Salt River National Park is a must see for all locals and tourists. It has one of the largest mangrove forests in the Virgin Islands and contains four different species of mangroves (arguably 3 species, please inquire with our guides as to why). These mangroves provide a habitat for an immeasurable quantity of lifeforms from various species of birds to a multitude of micro-organisms. This large estuary also contains coral reefs, a submerged canyon and thousands of years of human history. Come walk the shoreline and view the area where Columbus had encounters with the natives Tainos and Caribs.

See the many different forms of bio-luminescent jellyfish, Dino-flagellates, and glow worms. The Bioluminescent kayak trip sets out before sundown giving us a chance to see a gorgeous sunset before we head to Mangrove Lagoon to see the glowing water. A truly mystical and natural wonder of nature, it is impossible to describe bio-luminescent water other than a blue-ish aura that appears when you disturb the water. Truly one of St Croix's most beautiful hidden gems. You have the choice between two types of kayaks. Both have their own advantages.
